2025 Project Goat Sale - February 8th, 2025

Project Goats: All born in October/November 2024. We will have about 25 goats in the sale. 

Preview: Starts at 10am. We will give 30 minutes to view goats in pens. At 10:30 we will release animals pen by pen so you can see they walk.

Bidding: Bids will open at 11am. Bids will close at noon. At 11:30 we will help facilitate the bidding on any that are going back and forth until all parties are satisfied. 

Pricing: Starting price will be $300-$400.

Load Out: Please make sure to have proper transportation for your animal. At 12:15 we will start checking people out and loading.

Direction To The Ranch:

As far as directions go, please use 77990 Ranchita Canyon Road, San Miguel, CA 93451. Right before you get to that address, you will come to a sharp 90 degree turn to the right. You will see a green Monterey County Line Sign. Instead of taking the turn when you see the Monterey County Line sign, continue straight onto the dirt road (see picture attached). We will have a big sign with arrow that says GOAT SALE. This is the start of our ranch "Miller Moth Ranch". From there, stay straight on the dirt road. You will come to a "Y" in the dirt road and you want to take the right and go through the gate (You will see another GOAT SALE sign). You will keep going until you see the Parking sign. You are going to go past the sign and follow the road. Please follow the Goat Sale Signs.

The main focus of this tour is on our kidding operation. During the month of April we are expectiong 150+ baby goats. During the tour you will have the opportunity to interact with the goats and their babies. At the Miller Moth Ranch we pride ourselves on agriculture education and agri-tourism. During the tour we will have other interactive demonstrations and activities. While the goats are the main focus you will also learn about ranch, other commodities we produce, and be able to interact with some of the other farm animals. You will also be able to enjoy historical Almond Springs Agri-toursim center after the tour. You are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the space for an hour after the tour. We highly recommend doing this!

We are also located within Paso Robles Pleasant Valley Wine Trail. Visit a winery before or after and make it a full day. We are very close to High Camp Winery, Villa San Juliette, and Four Sisters Winery!

RULES:
- Closed Toe Shoes. This is a dirt path walking tour in a barnyard.
- Allow 10 more minutes travel time from address to get to the parking site. You will be traveling on a 3 mile maintained dirt road.
- Please bring your own water.
- Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty
- NO DOGS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY! (Note: If you are okay with leaving them in your vehicle we can park you in the shade. Please call ahead of time to get approval on this.)
- Check the weather and wear warm clothes if it is going to be cold!
-Cancellation made 24 hours prior to tour time will recieve a full refund. Cancellation made within 24 hours are not refundable. 

We will be sending you directions to your email prior to your tour. These are VERY important as GPS only gets you to the start of the ranch and the directions get you the rest of the way! Please make sure to follow the directions.

To prepare for your travel time please note that the address is the start of our ranch and you will need to allow an additional 10 minutes from there to the barnyard.

​About Us

At the Miller Moth Ranch we raise African Boer Cross market goats. We have been raising goats for the past 30 years. This year we will be kidding in April 2024 and October 2024.

After not raising project fair goats for the last 10 years due to changing our kidding to April for dryer warmer conditions we are excited to announce we will be offering project animals again for fairs starting in 2025. This will be for fairs held May-July 2025.

This year we recently added some new bucks to our breeding program. We are very excited to see what these bucks will do!
